 Are C-FB vCampus classes accredited?

Yes, the courses offered through vCampus are accredited through C-FBISD.

Can I attend C-FBISD vCampus and my regular high school at the same time?

Yes, school is designed for students currently enrolled in school, as well as students in home school. If you are currently enrolled in school and intend to take a vCampus course for graduation credit, we recommend that you contact your school counselor to gain official approval and to ensure proper recording of vCampus courses on your transcript.

What courses are available?

C-FBISD offers courses that meet our state and district standards.  We are continuing to review and add courses that meet our students’ needs. Please click on the Courses button on the   left to see what courses are offered.

How many vCampus courses can I take at one time:

Students currently enrolled in C-FBISD will be allowed to take two vCampus courses at one time and may earn a total of three credits through correspondence and C-FBISD vCampus courses. We encourage you to balance your vCampus course load with your current schedule. If you are a full time student, you should consult with your school counselor to design a degree plan that best fits your schedule and degree plan.

Will vCampus credit transfer to another school district?

C-FBISD vCampus credit is awarded through the C-FBISD and is completely transferable within the United States.

How long does it take to complete a course?

C-FBISD vCampus courses are designed to be completed in a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 18 weeks.

What is the cost of tuition?

Tuition for a vCampus course ranges from $150 to $350 per semester (.5) credit. Some courses may require the purchase of a textbook or additional materials not included in the tuition fee.

What is the refund policy?

Within 15 days of the online registration, students may cancel enrollment and receive a reimbursement of tuition, as per enrollment agreement. A fee of $50 will be retained for administrative expenses. Students that have not communicated with their vCampus teacher within 30 days of registration will be dropped from the course and tuition will not be reimbursed.

What equipment will I need at my house to get started?

An active, functional email account with an appropriate email address that will handle file attachments of significant size.

The following are the minimum hardware and software configurations required for C-FBISD  vCampus courses.

Windows Computer:   Pentium Processor and Windows 98SE or higher

 Macintosh Computer: Power PC Processor and System 9.0 or higher.

 All Computers:            * 128 MB RAM

                                                * Color monitor (16 bit, 800 X 600 resolution).

                                                * 8x or faster CD-ROM drive.

                                                * Keyboard and mouse.

                                                * Direct connection or 56 bps modem with Internet access.

                                                * Sound card and speakers.

                                                * Hard disk with at least 40 MB available.

                                                * Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher and course-specific plug-ins for the browsers. Macintosh users

                                                  may  use Safari or IE 5.5 or higher.

                                                * Microphone for Spanish courses.

                                                * Microsoft® Word 2000 or higher.

                                                * A printer is recommended and will enhance your experience in a C-FB ISD vCampus course.
